Tomie Troxler lives in historic Salisbury, NC. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and holds a Masters degree in Language Arts. After teaching in public and private schools for many years, Tomie now works regularly in her studio. Although she reflects a variety of subjects in her paintings her primary interest is in painting nature, mostly florals. Watercolor, collage, pen and ink, and acrylics are her favorite media. She is a member of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina, Carolina Artists, and Davidson County Art Guild. She studies with the nations leading artists every Spring and Fall at Spring Maid Beach, S.C. Her paintings are in private and public collections throughout the U.S. and abroad. A prize winner in the Watercolor Society of N. C., she exhibits frequently in their juried shows throughout the state.
