Janie Allen specializes in portraits and loves to paint in oils and also enjoys pastels. She served as President of the Rowan Art Guild when the Waterworks Visual Arts Center first began, and assisted with the birth of the historic mural in downtown Salisbury. She is chair of the Downtown "Angels of Salisbury" project, and has painted three of the large angels which are displayed over the holidays in acrylics.
